Gigi’s Playhouse is an environment where individuals of all ages with Down Syndrome can be given the academic tools and life skills to thrive! The goal of the facility is to bring positive and accurate information about Down Syndrome to the Fort Wayne area.

The completely renovated storefront space was transformed in less than four months into a center which focuses on life skills, independence and community. Inside the doors are bright colors and happiness everywhere!

Specific areas include:

Coffee cafe with retail shop

Full kitchen for cooking classes

Two private tutor rooms each with one-way glass and exterior headphones for parent observation

Director’s office

Volunteer office

Recreational gym with disco ball and stage lighting for activities which focus on large motor skills such as yoga and cheerleading

A multi-purpose room serving as classroom space, craft area, and teen and young adult socializing activities

The entire center is animated with large viewing monitors and surround-sound.
