As one of the first projects of the $55 million dollar budget, this renovation offered a new location for the Family Birthing Center that is more easily accessed by the patients while providing the highest level of care. It is located on first floor of the south end of the campus and will have a new dedicated entrance and drop off. Within the unit, there are 3 triage rooms and 10 LDRP rooms. Of the ten rooms, one has bariatric capabilities and another provides ADA and twin baby services. The unit also comes with a nursery, state of the art laboring tub, isolation rooms, and staff support spaces. The rooms provide a welcoming, luxurious atmosphere with in-room refrigerators, reclining sleep sofas, celebration tables, hidden monitoring equipment, and recessed skytron birthing lights.
